Review | Urban Accents Brussel Sprouts
Hey frenns! In case you haven’t caught on, it’s Product Review Friday!
Today I’m reviewing Urban Accents Seasoning Blend!
I was in the grocery store planning my meal, lol (don’t act like it’s just me) and I wanted to try something new. I came on the seasoning aisle (my favorite aisle) and came across this product for brussel sprouts. Brussel Sprouts has had a great PR person. The boiled soggy veggies we ate as children is no more. Crispy brussel sprouts make all the difference. And good seasoning is the key.
I knew that I wanted to have grilled brussel sprouts but I was pressed for time. And I’m not ABOVE purchasing a seasoning packet if it will save me time.
Now before you JUDGE- just know that I absolutely LOVE grilled brussel sprouts. It’s just something about that taste that does it for me. The are always crispy and because it’s a vegetable it’s a great alternative.
And man let me tell you, it’s amazing. I am so glad I used this product and I will definitely use it again. The product is very light and does really well when activated with heat (it didn’t clump or get crumbly). It was truly an accent to the flavor of the vegetables. I wish that I remembered the price point but it’s worth every penny (and you all KNOW I’m a frugal FRAN!). It comes with 3 individual packets so you get bang for your buck. There are various seasoning but this was the one I chose. And you want to know what else?! It’s a Chicago based company (insert radio horn). So that’s a win win for me to support a local company.
Having said that I’m not sure if this product will be in your local stores but they are available online and have some good recipes. They also have seasoning for meat (which I intend to try). This would also be a perfect gift for the foodie in your life!
And they ultimately tasted amazing. I highly recommend this product. I’m sure it would taste better with any other vegetable but I definitely recommend using brussel sprouts at least the first time. The only thing I added was olive oil as a coating.
Adding the seasoning was so simple too. It tastes like a perfect blend of a little of this and a little of that.
This brand has a variety of other spices and flavors too. Not just for vegetables for meat as well. I definitely intend to try the other flavors especially the one for Tacos.
If you’ve tried this before let me know below what flavors you’ve tried.
And…if you have other products you want me to try HOLLA AT CHA GIRL!
