Instant Pot Beef Stew

Equipment

  • Instant Pot

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs Beef Stew Meat
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • garlic salt
  • onion powder
  • seasoning salt
  • black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup carrots (sliced)
  • 4 red potatoes (cubed) 
  • 3 cups Beef Broth
  • 10 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • Add the olive oil to the instant pot and turn on the saute function. When the oil starts to sizzle add the meat and season.
  • Cook the meat until Browned
  • Add the beef broth to the instant pot and use a spoon to scrape the brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce and other vegetables and tomato sauce.
  • Close the lid and steam valve on the instant pot.
  • Cook on Manual for 35 minutes. Allow natural release for 10 minutes.
  • Open lid then add the cornstarch and water for thickening.
